The Kantha Trouser (new)

Same fabric,
different plans.

Two vintage kantha scarves, stitched into one pair of trousers. Recycled once in Bengal, recycled again by us. No two pairs are the same, and you won’t find them online.

In motion

Touch to pause · every pair is different

Kantha, you say? · the reel
What I actually make · recycled twice
The walk-through · palace doors
How the silk moves · past the elephants
Trousers this good, you have to dance
Wrapped up · the golden doors

Kantha?
Who’s she?

Kantha is a Bengali tradition of layering old silk and stitching it together with rows of tiny running stitches. The fabric has already had one life.

We give it a second. One scarf isn’t enough for a pair of trousers, so each pair is cut from two, hand-picked to sit together. That’s why every pair is one of one.

Two scarves recycled twice one-of-a-kind
